There are now more than 1 million stray dogs living on the streets in Greece alone. Many of these dogs are injured, can die from starvation or illness without the necessary treatments and vaccinations against disease. Puppies are often found in dustbins or left on the side of the road having suffered some form of abuse and negligence. Some of these dogs form into packs, hunt for food to survive and have been known to become dangerous and aggressive towards residents and the general public. 

All of these homeless dogs deserve a loving home, warmth and devoted care. iIDEAL wants to help improve the lives of as many of these animals as possible and is looking to help set up aid and an established shelter for stray dogs in and around West Pelion. We’re looking into the feasibility to run this much needed project and will announce details asap!

In the meantime, please feel free to donate to our friends at East Pelion Animal Welfare. No amount is too small and they need all the help they can get to continue being able to look after all the homeless animals at their shelter.
